Dr. Sagnik Surya Das is a visiting Cornea consultant in our hospital.

He is presently the Director of OptiSiight Eye Hospital in Garia, kolkata and is also attached to Sankara Jyoti Eye Hospital in New Town, Kolkata.

He was previously attached to Susrut Eye Foundation and Research Centre, Salt Lake, Kolkata as Consultant Cornea and Cataract Surgeon.

He did his MBBS from Kasturba Medical College (KMC), Manipal , Karnataka. He did his MS-Postgraduate in Ophthalmology, (silver medal) Vinayaka Missions Medical College, Salem, Tamil Nadu. He did his Fellowship in Cornea, Cataract and Refractive Surgery, Susrut Eye Foundation and Research Centre, Kolkata.

He is an outstanding surgeon who performs Corneal Surgeries - Keratoplasty (DSAEK, Optical PK, Therapeutic PK), Corneal Collagen Cross - linking (CXL) for Keratoconus, Phacoemulsification (more than 3000 phacos)(proficient in complicated cataract surgeries), Small Incision Cataract Surgery (SICS), Corneal tear repairs and Intra-Vitreal Injections.
